As you know I have been a keen cyclist now for 20 years and I am in training to be part of this fundraising ride in Tasmania in early March 2024. This ride will be an exciting seven day challenge for me going through towns such as Launceston, Devonport, Beaconsfield, and Bridport. A highlight for me is the fact that I am riding with many people who I know and this year as - in 2022 I am very proud to be riding again with my youngest daughter Thea who has had a baby in the interim ( Hamish Alasdair Martin!). Also on the ride this year for the first time is a friend of mine Lesa Ashford who in 2023 set a women’s time record of 93 days in riding around Australia. She is a true champion and she is also committed to ovarian cancer research.
The funds we collect are directed to Ovarian Cancer Australia. The monies are directed to early detection of ovarian cancer and treatment and also towards building a wellness centre where families can stay overnight and provide support whilst their loved ones are undergoing treatment. For more details, go to https://www.ovariancancer.net.au/ . Virtually ALL of the money that you donate will go to the cause.
Please support me in donating to this great cause. Every donation will be greatly appreciated.
