Last year we participated in a RoCan (Rotary) charity ride in northern Tasmania raising money for Ovarian Cancer Australia. The ride was a huge success, raising $44,000 for the charity. In April this year, together with about 30 others we will be riding more than 1,000 kms over 8 days from Geelong to Adelaide via Camperdown, Port Fairy, Portland, Mount Gambier, Kingston, Meningie and Strathalbyn. Although we ride many kms each week, this will certainly be a huge challenge for us!
This year’s ride will raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Australia and Fight Cancer Foundation and is mainly aimed at the early detection of Ovarian cancer, cancer treatment and the building of a wellness centre where families will be able to stay overnight whilst their loved ones are undergoing treatment.
